Those are the issues I noted during my play :
_I think you completely forgot the Star coins in 1-Castle and 3-C

_The secret exit in 3-2 is maybe a tad hard, usually a pipe leading to a secret exit sticks out compared to other pipes; for example while other pipes in its vicinity spawn regular Piranha Plants, make the secret exit pipe the only one who spawn a fire-spitting Piranha Plant so it gives the player a hint

_The 2nd area in 4-6, when I used the Mega-shroom I thought it was a good idea to ground pound the pile of stone blocks, only to find out that it make me lose a life, don't do that, that's "the one who should not be named" troll tier right there;

_And to finish I think the second part of level 3-1 is hard compared to what one would expect from a World 3 level, that's a good idea but that's the kind of level designing you would be more likely to find in the last worlds (6,7 or 8)(though I can't really talk for this one since I, myself, think the second part of my 1-Castle is kind of cruel in a way for a 1st world level so it evens out)


This hack definitely is good, that's for sure, but I think it can potentially be one of the most fun hacks around there; and I'm trying to sound as impartial as possible and merely giving suggestions so you can polish your hack and make it an even better product

Are you sure you created the xdelta patch using a clean ROM ? Because I tried to patch it but instead I got a checksum mismatch issue

By clean ROM I mean a ROM you never opened with NSMBe editor, I always keep a folder full of those (one for each region) so I can create xdelta patch without any bad consequences.

What is said about creating a patch still holds true when applying a patch, because I tried to apply the patch and it worked fine

BTW it is for US ROM.

btw I updatet the link. I fixed the graphical issues in the ghost house in w4 and the timelimits in a few levels. So now the second beta is finally finished and (i hope) free of all bugs and issues and so on.

I just played the beta 2.1 and there is no Secret Exit at some levels that lead to the Cannons. Like Dirbaio has said you can always turn Cannons Level into an Bonus Level with no cannons at all. You should try it.

Think about it. Whats the use of a cannon which leads to an original world where no new levels are built and which are maybe corrupted because of the new tilesets. So whats the use? I will use them later.

I have to say your spiked balls look really realistic.
The chocolate ice cream trees look a bit too realistic and looks slightly out of place.
2-1 The hammer bro would scared me the instant i came out of that pipe. The hammers are enough to reach you. Try moving the hammer bro or the pipe a few blocks away.

This is just my opinion.
I'm just judging this by the Videos and Screenshots.

I can announce for Beta 3 that I will rebuild and redesign the first world a little bit. 1-1 already received a overall rebuild with some elements you should know from SMW.
Also look at the new pipes.

Here: You can walk behind the trees and I re-textured the unused jungle effect for the leaf at the top of the level.

The spiked balls are not designed by me but by FSPlayer.
And I moved the hammer bro a bit. It can't hit you anymore (when you come out of the pipe).

I plan to build world 5 and mybe world 6 I dont know. I dont want that this beta takes 3 months again
World 5 is in development 3 levels are already built. Its a world where all different block types appear like the mushrooms in w2.
Also new textures of course (like the pipes). And a redesign of world 1 (I think 1-1, 1-4 and 1-A)
