Hi, I've been to another forum already with this issue, and I was hoping a forum more specific could help.
Basically, I'm just trying to get the image files from the poker minigames with Luigi in NSMB.
I've opened raw files and have tried viewing layers in emulators but to no avail.
I'm quite new to this as I don't hack game files often.
If someone could help or possibly link the raw image files for the poker minigame (I just need the card faces!) that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Open NSMBe and a NSMB rom

Click "ROM File Browser"

ARCHIVE > Card.narc > root > card

Next select and open "d_2d_mg_card_ncl.bin", this is the palette for the cards and related graphics

After opening that go to card > US and open "d_2d_mg_card_ncg.bin" this is the graphics themselves, since there is no palette it will appear as a grey square, this is fine and continue to the next step

Once opened go back to the palette viewer and select "Add all"

After adding the palette the graphics should turn pink, when they do check the box labeled "View in 4bpp format", if everything is correct you should get the cards

Finally the first three palettes (0, 1, and 2) are what you need to export, combine the images in a image editor like Gimp or Paint.net to match in game and you should be set

All minigames are stored within the "ARCHIVE" folder and the same steps can be used to rip the graphics out of them (Just account for the different filenames)
Have fun

I know that it's an old thread, but I wanted to say that I appreciate your knowledge. Minigames there are amazing, especially that poker game that I played a lot. I didn't know that there is a possibility to change images like that. That's cool because I wanted to replace some of them in order to create better skins in the game. Thanks to this guide it worked. I wanted to replace some skins with the Dragon Tiger style like it was on one of the websites I played online. Don't know if it looks better than the original, but I like it.
