I just made this account to say : This hack is AWESOME!
Levels are great and Nintendo-Quality.
Tilesets : Masterpiece
My persinal favourite is level 2-3 , this undergroud temple looks fantastic ! And whole level is build of various small blocks, which really looks brilliant and Wii style. I'd love to see whole world in that style ( underground and overworld mossy temples )! Also , in world 2-Castle there's that rolling square that resembles me this:

So you could recolor it a bit and try to create great mushroom levels like in NSMBWii , there's a lot of various mushrooms in DS version, so that will be awesome!
I can't wait to see that hack finished! Comparing it with other hacks available, your is simply one of the best !
I must admit, that after I finished NSMBWii, I was convinced that DS version lacks content, and levels look rather empty. You are the first one that showed , that DS levels can also be awesome! Keep up the good work!

PS. If you are going to keep the world 8 in hell-style, please do not use DS version of this song. Use custom one, or at least Wii version ( it's much better ^^)

So here's what I have to report after playing this 1/4th of this beta :

Generally speaking - I like this hack a lot ! There's room for slight improvements , but I can say that it's one of the best NSMB hacks out there Keep up the good work, and if You found my feedback from the spoiler useful I'll try to report more things from my further playthrough of this hack! I'm sorry that I didn't include screenshots - I'm playing this on real DS to test it properly. If You don't know what I mean in my report feel free to ask me

The Gateway card could brick Your 3DS even if You used it correctly. It has been confirmed by many knowledgeable people from the scene. The brick code was introduced in FW v2.0b2 and was an attempt to brick 3DS consoles of CLONE card users. Unfortunately it also bricked legit GW card users 3DSes. Right now it seems that the brick code has been removed, and instead before booting into the GW mode the Launcher.dat checks if the genuine GW card is inserted into the 3DS. No bricks were reported by people using FW newer than v2.0b2.

It would be best if we could see the background in the test level , only then it is posible to actually see if it's distracting. I think that the water might stand out a bit too much, but making it slightly darker while preserving strong colors on the tileset should make the level stand out. Anyway, it's really great seeing those animations, it adds something very fresh to NSMB.
