those little goombas. how can i NOT click them?
made this in about 5 seconds. mspaint is always just barely adequate enough for any image-editing task.

Well, folks, the results are in. A while ago I was bored and threw together a shitty mspaint comic down in featherland. A few people were mildly entertained so I went ahead and drew something up that looked a bit nicer. Here it is for you to laugh at and/or ridicule.

It's called "Hacked to Bits." (its a pun. both words have double meanings )

The first episode is done. I'll do more at some point.

While working with the graphics editor in build 376 I noticed this bothersome feature:
Any white pixels from imported bitmaps turn transparent. Now, I'm not sure if this is intended behavior, but if it is, it makes graphics editing extremely frustrating because I have to use the builtin "brush" and "bucket" tools to re-add every single white pixel that was in the original file each time I want to import it (this happens regardless of whether i recreate the palette.) Not only is this annoying, it's also completely unnecessary. I can add transparent pixels just fine using an external program or even with the builtin tools.

screenshot (bonus points for using uploader? ): http://nsmbhd.net/get.php?id=2926

To help illustrate my problem, I have written a song about it:

TLDR (summary)
pls make the import bitmap buttons stop removing white pixels. i need them.

Thanks,

PS: I'm not this guy, I just happen to have the same name.

Oh, very funnny LOLZ You good at making comic i wunt more plaese

I thought i made it pretty clear that I don't consider this "high quality" work. at all. also, this is the "random stupid shit" section of the forum. I see this type of response all the time when people (usually kids) post content online expecting positive feedback when in fact their content is really bad. The difference here is that I realize that it's terrible.

There was a time back when we were running abxd 2.x that the goomba was NSMB styled, and there was a Koopa too.

The code got lost in the upgrade, I don't think I have it anymore. Maybe I should redo it back

I think either way would be fun. The reason I like it here is because the community is so unique that they would think of little things like this.

If people want it, I can do some sort of weekly strip with actual effort that doesn't just use internet memes.

EDIT: here's a poll

Superb! Your comic is funny!

April fool joke is ridiculous, I accept it.

Really like this one! Please make more.

Comic doesn't have to be nicely done actually, if it is hilarious then it is okay! :xD:

Although someone may prefer well drawn one or well colored, just ignore.

Sometimes it is nice to see short funny jokes in quick MSPaint style.

Maybe you could try using internet memes too, if you would.

Thank you. In my future ones memes may appear, but they won't be the main joke or punchline anymore. It's super unoriginal and while it WAS funny for the first two thrown-together ones, I'm trying to at least be one step above rage comics, because those have been done to death. Thanks again for your support.

EDIT: If you dont like it, you can at least say it outright. I don't need your approval and while I'm open to constructive criticism, I don't appreciate unsolicited negative feedback. Seriously, if there's something I can do better, please let me know. I only ask you to be polite about it. thanks.
(If anyone is confused reading this just read his post like an acrostic.)

Yes, there is, actually. Sprite 84 will do this.

I don't understand its settings/values.

I still don't completely understand it either. Here's a lengthy explanation.
